Art does not have any definite definition. It is boundless,no one can ever capture its exact form .Art is all about the idea of the artist, who creates it initially from their soul ,then mind and then on canvas. Tatsuo Horiuchi, 77 yrs old Japanese artist transformed his weakness to strength and awestruck everyone from his incredible work.Using the free pre-installed microsoft excel as his canvas ,which was the only accessible and easy software for him to work with. It was definitely not easy to think differently and do the same ,but the passion of this 77 yr young man changed everyone’s view.
Microsoft excel could have never been thought to be so artistic ,until Horiuchi spreaded all his colourful sheets of imagination on this formal platform.Graphic softwares being so expensive could never bind him from executing his passion .
He mimics the traditional Japanese paintings of natural landscapes with cultural motifs.His intense and intricate work quality has made everyone believe the unbelievable.The artist says that to work in excel is easier and has more features as compared to word paint.He won competitions with his phenomenal art work, mostly first price at the Excel Autoshape Contest in 2006.
The artist’s hardwork and patience is now getting its space and is gaining recognition and appreciation by the world.He has also been named as Michelangelo of microsoft excel.
