The Flash comic character influenced Jeremy Scott collection at NY Fashion Week, the black and yellow colorway and the placement of the lightning bolts on these Jeremy Scott’s dresses are totally Black Adam. The use of knits, mesh, and plush velvet both defines and softens the large lightning bolts, creating a classic silhouette and an incredibly wearable look.

Every character’s costume tells a story,  creating a very strong bond and impact on the people who are influenced by fashion. The well known dramatic  designer Thierry Mugler’s iconic work can never be forgotten. His famous armoured suit exhibited in AW95, captured immense popularity at that time.

The suit was revealed from beneath a sweeping cape  and was also exhibited in the MET’S exhibition, displayed just beside Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man costume. Mughler’s comic influence can be seen in the catwalks of moulded bodices of iconic villains and heroes looks, bodysuits featuring flames , starbursts and metal belts, extravagant padding and latex leggings. Mughler’s approach towards his design was very different as this armour was incapable of protecting the wearer’s breasts, stomach, or thighs. His unique style of collaborating the comics world to fashion created a different space for him, from  where he could be easily differentiated by others.
