When fashion and comics come together, they sum up to be a very deadly combination making everyone awestruck. Recently the most talked about movie “Birds of Prey “, rejuvenated all the comics in a more voguish way. The character of Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie, was able to hold this strong character very efficiently. The most appreciable factor about the lead actor was to carry the look which was influenced by the comical character of joker’s girlfriend.
The makeup and costume was very much successful in attaining the look from comics, which is definitely not a cakewalk for the designer and stylist. The personality of a powerful and independent woman was very well complimented by the costumes and makeup.
The DC comics based film had thirteen outfits that created the comic vibe of the movie.
The designer Benach wanted the outfits to have a diy look. The outfits will definately be an inspiration in halloween, specially the most trendy jacket accumulated from streamers and yellow police “caution”tape.
The most eye catchy outfit has been the gold jumpsuit,garnished by a diamond pattern. The golden colour was the result of rejecting three more colour options , which actually proved to be the best choice.
The getaway jacket which concludes the movie with a bang. The bright blue colour of the jacket and with sequins completely makes a bold and beautiful statement. It’s definitely not easy to go all comic but Margot Robbie pulled it off amazingly. Many more outfits of Harley Quinn and other characters have successfully brought the comic era in the most stylish and crazy way, which definitely makes us watch this movie.
